🧘 Online Yoga is Here & My Favorite Vortex in Sedona 🏜️
I've joined a new online yoga platform called Wimy.io! I've also got a few Sedona travel tips for you if you visit Chapel of the Holy Cross.
Friends and students have been asking for it and it's finally here—online yoga classes on demand!
I've joined a new online yoga platform called Wimy.io (which stands for "Where Is My Yoga?)
You can find me there as...drumroll, please...Heather Larson. 😉 As Wimy is brand-new, there's a trial (and it's always free to watch with ads).
I'm just getting started teaching yoga online between #V4V yoga on Nostr's HiveTalk.org and joining Wimy. I plan to upload a new yoga video class once a week to Wimy (maybe more). I'd also love to get a LIVE class going on Wimy just like I do no Nostr.
(Requests for day/time of that are welcome).
I joined Wimy because I retain creative control of my work as well as rights to it. They're pretty awesome, down-to-earth, and fun people.
There are plenty of yoga teachers you can follow there besides me!
So please join and give my videos some love. As you can tell, I have a whopping 4 views (as many of us do on this brand-new yoga community platform).
My Favorite Vortex in Sedona is Chapel of the Holy Cross
This is probably because I haven't visited them all and I have one happy core childhood memory of going to the CotHC with my mom. 😉 But there's nothing quite like rounding the highway into Sedona and seeing it spring up from the side of a mountain...
The Chapel of the Holy Cross is breathtaking!
I plan to visit more of the vortex sites in Sedona. I'm a double Reiki Master and so I can't wait to really sink into the energies of Sedona's infamous vortexes. My trip to the Chapel was a nice pilgrimage and I'll definitely return!
My Travel Tips For Visiting Sedona's Chapel of the Holy Cross
If you go, go early. The place is as crowded as can be and I'm not sure that going early would help, but it will at least be cooler.
You also need to know there are NO bathrooms in the chapel. There are four porta potties at the base of the hill and much traffic heading in. So go to the restroom on the way into Sedona. (And bring some hand sanitizer and/or wet wipes).
The hill is steep. It's more steep if you park further down the hill. I waited 17 minutes for a parking space halfway up the hill, but I needed to use the restroom. That meant a hike down to the porta potties and a hike back up. Not a big deal for me, just something you should know in case it is for you. (Wear good shoes!)
There are a few handicapped parking spaces at the top of the hill and people driving golf carts to help those who need them to get up the hill.
The gift shop is reasonably priced and has plenty of nice gifts for you to take back to the folks at home. Lightning a candle is a $1 donation and a 3-day candle is a $5 donation.
As for your time in the chapel, it can be loud and crowded. I wished I'd brought my earbuds with me for that, but it was also interesting to eavesdrop too. 😉 If you're looking for quiet time to reflect and pray, definitely bring your earbuds.
Oh, and this is maybe a feature, not a bug—but you won't get cell reception there.
