The First #V4V Yoga Was a Success! Let's Make it a Regular Class on Mondays!

Most of us are sitting at a desk working all day—including me. I get it. I try to tackle common problems through yoga, like stress, joint pain, and back pain. My goal is to teach you yoga in a way that you can practice safely on your own.

The First #V4V Yoga Was a Success! Let's Make it a Regular Class on Mondays!

Let's do it again! We had 6 students show up on Monday, September 30, 2024—the first-ever yoga class taught on Nostr by yours truly.

Monday Nights, #V4V yoga is live on Nostr!

"#Yogastr" is live on Nostr client HiveTalk at 6:00 PM MST. The class has a beginner vibe and all you have to do is bring yourself, a mat, water, and a towel or blanket. If you have yoga props, bring 'em!

Feel free to attend at no charge. I do ask for an exchange of value in return if you're able; no one is turned away.

You can "zap" in Bitcoin (BTC) on the Nostr app of your choosing. You can also zap via my lightning address, morningsnowflake162@getalby.com. (A "zap" is a Bitcoin micropayment. For example, when I like a song on Wavlake, I send a zap of 1,000 sats, which is ~$0.60).

If you're still in the fiat world, my Cashapp tag is $Coachheather.

Can't zap ⚡️ or do Cashap in monetary value? Feel free to leave a testimonial, which totally helps!

⭐️ You don't need to pay to attend. You don't need to pay before class. I am finding most people send zaps after class or the next day. If there's a week you can't offer value-for-value, just make up for it next time. I'm not the V4V police and no one will be turned away. Value-for-Value is a new concept! Most students zapped around 10,000 sats Monday night, or ~$6).

What to expect from yoga class?

I teach yoga. Plain and simple. No gimmicks, no trends, no ceremonies, and there's no "type of yoga." It's just yoga.

I am finding people want to attend a beginner class these days. Most people tell me they're out of shape, inflexible, and a bit anxious to try yoga.

Right now, this means my classes have a beginner vibe!

This looks like me meeting you where you're at and dialing the class up or down based on how the class looks to me. If you look scared, I dial it down. If you look bored, I dial it up.

Most of us are sitting at a desk working all day—including me. I get it. I try to tackle common problems through yoga, like stress, joint pain, and back pain. My goal is to teach you yoga in a way that you can practice safely on your own.

I believe creating a personal yoga practice is vital to well-being. I want to give you the tools to do that so you can continue your yoga practice even when you're unable to attend a class in person or online.

Here I am with my class from Union Park at San Norterra! This is such a great community. I love how everyone shows up to class. Sandy, the manager, is fantastic. Every time I am there, people are hanging out in community swimming, dancing, having a BBQ, kids are playing together...it's just such a nice place to teach yoga! Lots of happy vibes! 😊

Finally, I'm working on more ways to teach online. I'm doing #V4V yoga because I preach value-for-value to music artists. Those of us working on this idea are learning as we go. You can learn more about this on my podcast, Radio Detox!

The idea here is supported by what we know so far—artists are earning more with V4V through Bitcoin than they ever have on Apple, Spotify, or any other major streaming platform. Same deal for creators on Nostr, where most apps have native BTC payments built in.

Forbes validated the V4V idea this week with some of the artists you've heard on Radio Detox!

I've spent years creating content online to support my wellness business, Destiny Architecture®. I've tried YouTube, podcasting, Patreon, blogging, TikTok—you name it. I think it's a similar predicament to what musicians are going through. Whatever you create is your passion. Yet you have no time to pursue it because you're constantly creating content for multiple platforms while earning little to nothing.

Nostr and V4V give us new ways to create and own our social graph while earning Bitcoin. Content creation and community building are no longer endless, thankless jobs.

That first Nostr yoga class earned me slightly more than I would normally make teaching in-person yoga. Will that happen every week? No clue. Did it help me build community? Yes. My students are people I know on Nostr whom I can take with me to any Nostr app.

For example, let's say I built a yoga class on X and taught via Spaces. (Which would suck as Spaces is audio-only and HiveTalk is video, btw). Let's say X deplatformed me. I would lose all my followers and students. I couldn't just shift to a different app as I can with Nostr. And while X is working on payments, they aren't there yet. Who knows what they'll entail...probably some Elon Musk ego-maniacal sh*tcoin or whatever pumps his bags. No one wants that.

Nostr lets you build and keep what you build. Build a network, accept BTC payments (which is easy and built into apps like Primal), and change apps whenever you want without losing followers, bio, profile pic, etc.

My New Meditation Podcast Project is LIVE!

I am choosing to shift my guided meditation podcast to a V4V model while also giving it a push to grow & evolve. This podcast will be even more experimental than Radio Detox.

The Destiny Architecture® Meditation Podcast is now in the Valueverse with one episode!

A new guided meditation with V4V music is now available—only in the Valueverse! (Aka Podcasting 2.0 apps).

How is this different than before?

The V4V aspect is built into the podcasting 2.0 apps like Fountain so you can zap from there. You're not just zapping me. When you zap as a song plays, that money goes directly to the artist!

Also, all music is now V4V. So you can discover new music for meditation, yoga, and Reiki in the Valueverse.

Rather than pay a monthly fee for a license to play bed music and talk over it, I'm hoping to turn you onto new music by independent artists.

I'll make guided meditation podcasts like before, but also playlists for meditation, Reiki, and yoga. I'll also be hosting some dharma talks!

The first dharma talk will be released soon. I interviewed my friend Sangeetha Kowsik, the Hindu Chaplain at NYU & Columbia.

But first, a guided meditation with 3 V4V artists and 3 meditation techniques! Enjoy 😊 👇
